SnapCal (the “App”) is operated by Xionprotech LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”), 1415 W High St, Pottstown, PA 19464, USA. This policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and your choices. By using SnapCal you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Photos and images you submit. When you photograph or upload a meal, the image is processed to estimate its food items and nutrition.
- Information you enter. Your selected goal (e.g., lose weight, maintain, build muscle, GLP-1), logged meals, portion adjustments, weight entries, and history.
- App usage data. Basic technical and usage information needed to operate the App (such as scan counts for free-tier limits and crash/diagnostic data).
We do not ask for your name, address, or government identifiers to use the App.
How your data is processed (AI)
SnapCal uses a third-party artificial-intelligence service, Google’s Gemini API (provided by Google LLC), to analyze the food photos you submit. When you request an analysis, your image and related prompt are transmitted to Google for processing and a result is returned to the App. Google’s handling of that data is governed by Google’s applicable terms and privacy policy. Content generated by the App (nutrition estimates, scores, and coaching tips) is produced by AI and is labeled as AI-generated.
How we use information
- To identify foods and estimate nutrition from your photos.
- To provide goal-tuned feedback, history, trends, and streaks.
- To enforce free-tier limits and, if you subscribe, manage premium access.
- To maintain, secure, and improve the App.
Where your data is stored
Your meals, weights, goals, and history are stored on your device. Images are sent to the AI service only at the moment of analysis to return a result; we do not sell your photos or build advertising profiles from them.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us operate the App (such as the AI provider named above and, where applicable, app-store payment processors), and where required by law.
Payments
If you purchase a subscription, payment is processed by the applicable app store (Apple App Store or Google Play) or our payment processor. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details. Pricing is shown before you subscribe and you may cancel at any time through your app-store account.
Health disclaimer
Children’s privacy
SnapCal is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices and rights
- You can delete your logged data within the App.
- You can uninstall the App at any time, which removes locally stored data on your device.
- To request deletion of any data associated with you, email support@xionprotech.com.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, in-app notice.
